Photo - Olympics...

The world is currently focused on one thing... The Olympic Games 2012.

The world is currently putting aside all the troubles of day to day conflict and coming together to enjoy... The Olympic Games 2012.

News stations and radio are discussing and covering the cheers and excitement that only come with... The Olympic Games 2012.

And someone in my office today complained that the whole world has forgotten itself and got 'stuck on'... The Olympic Games 2012...

And I replied what a wonderful refreshing change you utterly miserable idiot. :) xx

Photo - Still ill...

There is nothing like a big mug of hot chocolate to make you feel better when you are snotty, rotten and watching energetic gymnasts somersaulting into glory.

Lord they make me feel lazy and tired! :) xx

Musings - Pride and glory...

Last night was the opening of the Olympic Games. Being British I felt a great deal of pride and bemusement at the ceremony that took place in London.

You can't help but love the thought that went into it, the sheer arrangement and amount of enthusiasm shown by all.

And The Queen!! In her acting debut alongside James Bond.

I was in tears constantly, proud tears, sad tears and laughter tears and then cross tears that they had rolled old Paul McCartney out again.

But the games have begun, let's wish the world luck. :) xx

Musings - Travelling torch...

Today the Olympic Torch travelled through my town. We figured we would pop down and stand somewhere on the route and wave.

So we dressed Katharine for the occasion...

I think her face tells you she is part loving it and part humouring us...

But anyway, we never anticipated the crowds that turned up. Hundreds of people lined the streets, cheering, waving flags.

It was amazing to be part of it. I have some video footage and some photos on my camcorder which I need to find a way to edit, once they are done you can no doubt expect them on here.

It was such a fantastic afternoon, Katharine enjoyed it so much that even when she fell asleep she refused to relinquish her Union Jacks...

So question, are you looking forward to the Olympics? :) xx
